BAUCHI: 18-year-old housewife kills husband with hot water

The police in Bauchi state have arraigned an 18-year-
old housewife, Aisha Jibrin, before the Chief
Magistrate's Court 7, Bauchi, for allegedly killing her
husband with hot water.
According to reports, Aisha, allegedly went for an
abortion without her husband's consent which resulted
in him beating her and leading to the loss of one of her
front teeth.

However, it could not be ascertained if the quarrel was over the issue of the paternity of the aborted baby or the abortion itself. She was then said to have poured the hot water on her husband, Ladan, while he was taking his bath on Wednesday, 8 October, at their residence at Jahun Ward, Bauchi Metropolis. The husband later died at a hospital.

The brother of the deceased, Nasiru Mohammed,
reported the matter at the Dutse Tanshi Police Station,
leading to Aisha's arrest and charge to court.
The Chief Magistrate Presiding over the case, Isa El-
Shuaibu, however adjourned the case to 28 October for
further hearing.
