ONDO: Two men steal goat to celebrate birthday, NSCDC foils plans
Two young men have been arrested in Akure, Ondo state, by officials of NSCDC for allegedly stealing a goat. Both thieves, Seun Agagu and Gbenga Adedipe were nabbed at 3:00am by officials of the command.
They had earlier set a trap for the goat and were preparing it for slaughter. The early cries of the goat owner alerted the officials about the missing goat. The young men have since confessed to the crime.
They said they wanted to use the goat to celebrate their birthday, that was why they stole the goat. Andrew Igwe Ugwumba, the state commandant of the NSCDC said the suspects would be charged to court after a proper investigation has been conducted.
