Gallant Soldiers Bomb and Kill over 400 Boko Haram Terrorists
Nigerian soldiers are stepping up their game
in the fight against Boko Haram. As you read
this, over 400 men of the dreaded Boko
Haram sect may have been killed in a shoot
out with the Nigerian military in parts of
troubled North East, particularly in Borno
state.
A source, who is a member of the Civilian JTF,
disclosed that the insurgents were repelled
back from both Ngamdu, 100 kilometres from
Maiduguri on the Maiduguri-Damaturu road
and Konduga, just about 40 kilometres on the
Maiduguri-Bama road.
He said they were probably heading
towards Maiduguri from the two opposite
directions. The source, who spoke on
phone on Wednesday afternoon, said: "As
I am talking to you the corpses of the
insurgents are lying the streets in the two
towns."
According to Abusidiq, the source claimed that
the soldiers of the Nigerian Army 7 division,
headquarters in Maiduguri stationed in the
two towns, Konduga and Ngamdu engaged the
insurgents in heavy confrontation at the break
of the day and killed about 300 in Konduga
where they had equally repelled them last
week during which over 100 insurgents were
killed.
He added that in Ngamdu, 150 insurgents
were killed in the exchange of gunfire.
He further revealed that the military attacked
members of the sect with the assistance of the
local vigilante.
Another person, Bashir Abbas, a member of
the youth vigilante group said the attempts of
the Boko Haram sect to invade Maiduguri, the
Borno state capital was repelled back by the
military at different parts of the state with the
insurgents suffering heavy casualties.
