ROBOT KILLS VOLKSWAGEN WORKER, TWITTER GOES CRAZY OVER REFERENCE TO TERMINATOR

A robotics worker has been killed by a robot at a Volkswagen plant in Germany. This happened when an assembly robot in the plant grabbed the man and pressed him against a metal plate.

According to CTV News, initial conclusions indicate that human error was to blame, rather than a problem with the robot, which can be programmed to perform various tasks in the assembly process. He said it normally operates within a confined area at the plant, grabbing auto parts and manipulating them.

What is even more profound is Twitter went crazy when a particular handle tweeted the news. The handle, @Sarahoconnor_ reminded many people of the character from the popular Terminator series, and not long after, many people started to tweet about a connection between the tragic death and the invasion of robots coming to wipe out humanity.
