Atiku vows to tackle security challenges if …

Former Vice President of Nigeria and a chieftain of the
All Progressive Congress, APC, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has
said he is an experienced politician with democratic
qualities and ready to tackle the security challenges in
Nigeria if given the mandate in 2015.
Atiku who is a Presidential aspirant on the platform of the
APC spoke in Jos Tuesday while seeking the support of his
Party delegates in the Party's forthcoming Presidential
primary election.

He added he will empower the military with the required gadgets and create room for more recruitment of security personnel to curtail the insurgency in the country if elected as the President in 2015. According to him, "All those contesting for Presidency are inexperienced compared to my experience and qualities in democracy.

I have been the Vice President of Nigeria for good eight years.
"Nobody fought the military in this country for democracy
like me, my mentor late Shehu Yar'Adua lost his life in the
cause of this struggle. I am the most experienced politician
amongst those contesting the Presidency."
The former Vice President insisted he has what it takes to be
lead the country as witnessed in the boldness he had to fight
his former boss, former President Obasanjo in 2003 against
the imposition of third term and that brought the stability in
the polity.
He however stated the Party's aspirants have resolved to
support whoever emerges as the winner during the Benin
primaries.
Meanwhile, the Plateau State Chairman of APC, Hon. Latep
Dabang promised that all the state delegates will vote for
Atiku because of his financial support he has always
rendered to the Party, saying "no Plateau delegate will vote
for anybody apart from Atiku."
