1. TITANIC (1997)
RMS
Titanic was a British passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic
Ocean in the early morning of 15 April 1912 after colliding with an
iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton, UK to New York City,
US. The sinking of Titanic caused the deaths of more than 1,500 people and is
one of the deadliest maritime disasters in modern history.
The RMS Titanic,the largest ship afloat at the time it entered service, was
the second of three Olympic class ocean liners operated by the White
Star Line, and was built by the Harl and and Wolff shipyard in Belfast
with Thomas Andrews as her naval architect. Andrews was among those lost
in the sinking. On her maiden voyage, she carried 2,224 passengers and
crew.

2. SOMETIMES IN APRIL (2005).
The
story centers on two brothers Honoré Butera, working for Radio
Television Libre des Mille Collines, and Augustin Muganza, a captain in
the Rwanda army(who was married to a Tutsi woman, Jeanne, and had three
children with her Anne-Marie, Yves-André, and Marcus), who bear witness
to the killing of close to 800,000 people in 100 days while becoming
divided by politics and losing some of their own family. The film
depicts the attitudes and circumstances leading up to the outbreak of
brutal violence, the intertwining stories of people struggling to
survive the genocide, and the aftermath as the people try to find justice
and reconciliation

4. BLOOD DIAMOND (2006)
Blood Diamond is a 2006 American-German political war thriller film
co-produced and directed by Edward Zwick, starring Leonardo
DiCaprio,Jennifer Connelly and Djimon Hounsou.The title refers to blood
diamonds, which are diamonds mined in African war zones and sold to
finance conflicts, and thereby profit warlords and diamond companies
across the world.Set during the Sierra Leone Civil War in 1996–2001, the
film depicts a country torn apart by the struggle between government
loyalists and insurgent forces.It also portrays many of the atrocities
of that war, including the rebels' amputation of people's hands to
discourage them from voting in upcoming elections.
It is 1999 and
Sierra Leone is ravaged by major political unrest. Rebel factions such
as the revolutionary United Front frequently terrorize the countryside,
intimidating Mende locals and enslaving many to harvest diamonds, which
fund their increasingly successful war effort. One such unfortunate is
fisherman Solomon Vandy (Djimon Hounsou) from Shenge, who has been
assigned to a workforce overseen by Captain Poison (David Harewood), a
ruthless warlord.

5. TEARS OF THE SUN, Bruce Willis (2003).
Tears
of the Sun is a 2003 American action war drama film depicting a U.S.
Navy SEAL team rescue mission amidst the civil war in Nigeria and
Cameroon. LT A.K. Waters (Bruce Willis) commands the team sent to rescue
U.S.citizen Dr. Lena Fiore Kendricks (Monica Bellucci) from the civil
war en route to her jungle hospital. The film was directed by Antoine
Fuqua.

6. GLADIATORS (2000).
Gladiators a 2000 British-American epic historical drama film directed by Ridley
Scott, starring Russell Crowe, Joaquin Phoenix, Connie Nielsen,Ralf
Möller,Oliver Reed(in his final film role),Djimon Hounsou, Derek
Jacobi,John Shrapnel, and Richard Harris. Crowe portrays the fictional
character, loyal Roman general Maximus Decimus Meridius, who is betrayed
when the emperor Marcus Aurelius's ambitious son,Commodus, murders his
father and seizes the throne.Reduced to slavery, Maximus rises through
the ranks of the gladiatorial arena to avenge the murder of his family
and his emperor.

7. BLACKHAWK DOWN (2001)
In
1993, following the ouster of the central government and start of a
civil war, a major United Nations military operation in Somalia is
authorized with a peacekeeping mandate. With the bulk of the
peacekeepers withdrawn, the Mogadishu-based militia loyal to the faction
leader Mohamed Farrah Aidid, who led the overthrow, have declared war on
the remaining U.N. personnel. In response,U.S. Army Rangers,Delta
Force soldiers, and160th SOAR aviators are deployed to Mogadishu to
capture Aidid, who has proclaimed himself president of the country.

9. GREEN MILES (1999).
One

the terminally ill wife of Warden Hal Moores. When John is asked to
explain his power, he merely says that he "took it back."

10. PAA (2009).
Auro
(Amitabh Bachchan) is an intelligent and witty 12-year-old boy with an
extremely rare genetic disorder called progeria. Mentally he is twelve
and very normal, but physically he looks five times older. In spite of
his condition, Auro is a very happy boy. He lives with his mother Vidya
(Vidya Balan) who is a gynecologist. Amol Arte (Abhishek Bachchan) is a
young, cold blooded politician. He is out to prove to the world that
'politics' is not a bad word. He is a man with a mission. Auro is Amol's
son; however, Vidya conceals this from him. Amol meets Auro when he
visits the boy's school as a chief guest. He comes on the occasion of a
competition on the 'visionary of India'. Amol decides Auro as the winner
being impressed by the white globe he made. But being such a big
politician Auro was spot by the media. The next day the media try to
enter his school. Auro, annoyed at this, sends him an e-mail. Amol,
reads it and takes a restraining order from High Court stating that
nobody can disturb him without permission. Auro, relieved tells him of
his desire to visit the president's house. But due Amol's political
issues he fails to make it on the decided day. Auro, however loses
confidence in him but later agrees to go to Delhi with him although he
now knows that Amol is his father. Though Amol does not know that Auro
is his son, he takes him to Delhi to see the president's house. Auro,
who knows the truth, tries to get his mother and father back together,
but Vidya resists, still hurt by the fact that Amol wanted her to have
an abortion when they first found out she was pregnant. Amol realizes
his mistake though, and proposes to Vidya, as he is still in love with
her. He stays by Auro's side when he finds out that Auro is his son.
Auro's health begins to deteriorate as he reaches his 13th birthday, his
physical defects catching up. However, he is finally able to reunite
his mother and father once again as Vidya gives in to her feelings for
Amol and her motherly love for Auro. Auro, succumbing to his disease,
says his last words "Maa" and "Paa" before dying with a satisfied smile.

12. The Lord of the Rings (The Return of the King 2003)
The
movie might drag slightly after the climax, but somehow the epic finale
to the epic Lord of the Rings trilogy feels almost too short. It's
powerful because it's such a triumphant conclusion, but also because
it's like saying goodbye to such a rich fantasy world and the vivid
characters within. They too seem to be saying goodbyes, and it's really
about as heroic and moving as a movie like this can be.

13. YEH VAADA RAHA.(THE PROMISE, 1982).
Vikram
Rai Bahadur is the only son of Mrs. Sharda, and sole heir to a vast
business and estate. While vacationing with his artiste friend, Raja in
Kashmir he meets a poor beautiful girl named Sunita and falls head over
heels in love with her.
Vikram goes back to Delhi, to ask his
mother's permission and blessings to marry Sunita, but she refuses
telling VIcky about Sunita's parents and past. Also saying that if her
name is joined to theirs, their business will suffer as Sunita's
presence is inauspicious. His mother's words anger Vikram and he goes
back to Kashmir and tells Sunita they will have a quiet temple wedding.
On their way to the temple their vehicle meets with an accident against a
truck. While Raja sustains minor injuries, Vikram is badly hurt and
hospitalized, and Sunita's face is severely disfigured. Mrs. Sharda goes
to see Sunita and offers her money to stay away from Vikram. She tells
Sunita about her disfigurement and emotionally blackmails her by saying
"think how Vikram would live with an ugly and disfigured girl like her.
Hearing this Sunita agrees to stay away from Vikram but says she doesn't
want Sharda's money. Sunita is transferred to a hospital in Delhi,
where Sunita's local doctor, Dr. Sahni together with a doctor in the
Delhi hospital, Dr. Mehra restore her disfigurement by plastic surgery.
On the day that she leaves, Vikram regains consciousness and asks for
Sunita, But his mother tells him that Sunita is dead.Months pass and
Vikram longs for Sunita, not eating properly, not living his life, not
looking after himself. Meanwhile in these months Dr Mehra is doing his
job beautifully, he fixes Sunita's disfigured face and gives her a new
face. She quickly recovers, and cannot wait to give the good news to
Vikram, but Vikram is unable to recognize Sunita and she believes that
he has forgotten her. She returned returned home and changed her name to
Kusum.
Vikram and Kusam later came together and sang together,
hearing her voice reminds Vikram of Sunita's voice and he continuously
re-listens to her voice's recordings in order to figure out whether it
is Sunita's or not. But Vikram and his Mother noticed Sunita's presence
in Kusum. Dr. Mehra calls Sharda (Vikram's Mother) to his hospital and
explains to her how he had given Sunita a new face after her
disfigurement. He tells her how Sunita is Kusum and Kusum is Sunita and
how Kusum.

14. PERSUIT OF HAPPYNESS (WILL SMITH, 2006).
In
1981,San Francisco, salesman Chris Gardner (Will Smith) invests his
entire life savings in portable bone-density scanners which he
demonstrates to doctors and pitches as a handy quantum leap over
standard X-rays (the scanners play a vital role, despite being called
"time machines" by Max Watson, and "fire" by Chris). While he is able to
sell most of them, the time lag between the sales and his growing
financial demands enrage his already bitter and alienated wife Linda
(Thandie Newton), who works as a hotel maid. The lack of a stable
financial state increasingly erodes their marriage, in spite of them
caring for their five-year old son, Christopher (Jaden Smith).
