Fintiri refuses to vacate Adamawa Govt House

Adamawa State, Mr. Umar intiri, has said he has appealed against the judgment of
a Federal High Court in Abuja, which ordered the former
Deputy Governor of the state, Bala Ngilari, to be sworn in
as the substantive governor.
Fintiri, who was the Speaker of the Adamawa State House
of Assembly before he was sworn in as the Acting
Governor, said he had also filed a stay of execution of the
judgment, adding that the orders of court could not be
complied with until his appeal was determined.
He spoke through his lawyer, Bayo Ojo (SAN), in a
statement issued shortly after Justice Adenyi Ademola
delivered the judgment on Wednesday.

Bala Ngilari sworn in as Adamawa State Governor, but Acting
Governor of the state, Ahmadu Fintiri, says he will not vacate
Government House.
