Woman arrested after burying own baby alive in Akwa Ibom
The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has
arrested a woman, Ms Patience Aaron, for
attempting to kill her new born baby
girl.Punch reports that Aaron, an indigene of
Afaha Abia village, in the Nsit Ibom Local
Government Area of the state, on September
14, buried her one-day baby alive.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Gabriel
Achong, said during a press conference in Uyo
on Thursday that the baby was rescued alive
nearly five hours after she had been buried.
