Dangote
Cement Plc said it has reduced the price of cement in the country, with
about N100 slashed off the original price of each 50 kilogramme bag of
cement.
The
Managing Director of the company, Mr. Edwin Devakumar, made the
announcement yesterday in Lagos while speaking to newsmen. He said
henceforth, distributors lifting cement from the Dangote cement plants
across the country will pay N100 less per 50 kilogramme bag of cement.
He
also announced plans by the company to launch its brand of the premium
32.5 cement grade, selling for N200 lower per bag than the price of the
higher strength 42.5 grade.
Mr Devakumar noted that the 32.5 cement grade from the company was to give consumers value for their money.
