Arsene Wenger Says: I Regret that I didn't Have C.Ronaldo

Cape Town - Long-serving Arsenal manager
Arsene Wenger has revealed two players who
he regrets not signing for the London club.
ITVfootball report that Arsene Wenger had
the chance to sign both Cristiano Ronaldo and
Didier Drogba but failed to lure either player
to the Gunners.
Having seen a barren trophy run ended this
year when Arsenal won the 2013/14 FA Cup,
Wenger has seen these two players hurt his
side on numerous sides after signing for
rivals Manchester United and Chelsea.

"My biggest regret, I was so close to signing
Cristiano Ronaldo.
"And not only did I not get him, but he signed
for Manchester United.
"That, of course, still hurts today."

But missing out on Ronaldo is not the only
high profile player that Wenger has missed
out on.
"I would have loved to have managed Didier
Drogba, for two reasons," said the Gunners
boss.
"One, I missed him when he played at Le
Mans in France, not even in the top league. I
knew there was a good player there and I
missed him.
"And secondly, because he hurt us so much in
big games that all this pain would not have
happened."
